Information on Son Carrió

Located between Manacor and Cala Millor, it has x inhabitants and is a small town originating from the 1860subdivision of the estate bearing the same name. The most standout architecture is made up of the church and the former convent next door. Sant Miquel church was finished in a Romanesque style in 1907, with a large rose window to the façade in the shape of a fan. It had the bene placito of the famous Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí.

Coming out of town towards S´Illot is Ca n´Apol·lònia, a small centenary house built with traditional Majorcan styles and techniques. Restored by the Town Council, it has been made into a municipal arts centre.

Another good reason to visit Son Carrió is its bakeries, where some of the best apricot sweet cakes (coques) in the region are made.
